Remarkable.
MSNC: "I want to reiterate this has been 100% peaceful."
Seconds later, LA County sheriffs start firing on the crowd.
Yet again, "law enforcement" deliberately escalated.

Big turnouts for No Kings day, more ICE immigration raids and L.A. police fire rubber bullets at protesters
Protesters across the country took to the streets for No Kings demonstrations against President Trump. ICE raided a swap meet in Santa Fe Springs and police fired tear gas and rubber bullets into the crowd in downtown L.A.

Fears of racial profiling rise as Border Patrol conducts roving patrols, detains U.S. citizens
Brian Gavidia was recently targeted in a federal immigration raid at his workplace. Im American, bro! he told agents who confronted him. (Carlin Stiehl / Los Angeles Times)
By Brittny Mejia and Rachel Uranga
Brian Gavidia had stepped out from working on a car at a tow yard in a Los Angeles suburb Thursday, when armed, masked men wearing vests with Border Patrol on them pushed him up against a metal gate and demanded to know where he was born.
Im American, bro! 29-year-old Gavidia pleaded, in video taken by a friend.

(4,761 posts)Sheriff Robert G. Luna needs to explain his actions and be disciplined/fired if wrong doing is found.
Your title read "LA cops" which made me assume it was the L.A. Police, who appeared to work w/protesters. LAPD is under Jim McDonnell.

(3,414 posts)Places I have lived and county sheriffs I know would have to turn over to local PD if someone was operating in an incorporated city within the county. Is that not the case in California?

(4,761 posts)In this case MSNBC reported that it was the Sheriffs. I don't know the actual part of the County of Los Angeles this was. And I don't know the coordination/agreement between the two Law Enforcement Agencies during the "No Kings" protest.
edit to add "agreement"
