I tried to pre-order the phone and pay the $100 downpayment, hoping to test the phone to see what apps come pre-installed, how secure it really is, and what components it includes when it comes out. The website failed, went to an error page, and then charged my credit card the wrong amount of $64.70. I received a confirmation email saying Ill receive a confirmation when my order has been shipped, but I havent provided a shipping address or paid the full $499 price tag. It is the worst experience Ive ever faced buying a consumer electronic product and I have no idea whether or how Ill receive the phone.

Mobile Experts Skeptical of Trump 'T1' Phone Made-in-America Claims
Blake Przesmicki, an analyst at the research firm Counterpoint, is also skeptical that the T1 will be American-made. Instead, he expects Trump Mobile to source the device from a manufacturer in China.

(11,953 posts)Of charges on my credit card, I've called the credit card company, explained the situation and have had the charge blocked. It's always been handled quickly and without fuss. The earlier you make that call, the better.
I had a brouhaha over a Christmas present for my oldest son, a piece of exercise equipment. I paid for the purchase and the package never arrived. The company insisted it had been delivered by UPS. It wasn't. They even sent me a picture of the item. On someone else's doorstep.
We went round and round on the mis-delivered package until I called the credit card company, explained the situation and after they investigated, the charge was refunded (over $100) to my account.
The best way to resolve these things is keeping on top of your account balances and predicted delivery dates, so you know exactly what's going on.
And then, act as soon as possible. Contact the vendor with your complaint. If you get stalled? Call the credit company.
Also, don't trust anything with Trump's name attached.
