From what I have gathered over comments from experts, some of them Iranians who were once jailed by the regime (They were interviewed a few days ago on a MSNBC show), there is no clear opposition leader that would be ready to lead the movement towards democracy should the ayatollah regime fall.

The more likely outcome will be complete chaos similarly to what we had in Afghanistan and Irak for decades.
