hmmm... if the targets housed enriched nuclear material, wouldn't the bombing create a chernobyl-type fallout?

iran is saying it didn't, because there radioactive materials were removed long ago.

and my guess is, the fact that we bombed them is evidence that we knew this.

i can see the generals going along with bombing a few buildings, but i can't see them going along with making half of iran a radioactive hell for generations....

people like donnie and miller would cheer that, but i think the generals would stop that.

i don't have much faith in anyone in power these days, but i'm trying to cling on to this last little bit of faith....

No. It wouldn't be stored in close proximity to allow sustained fission. NutmegYankee Yesterday #5
Obviously it wouldn't start a nuclear reaction, I just meant it woukd widely disperse radioactive material unblock Yesterday #6

It's a good chance they bombed nothing. Remember Tora Bora?

Chernobyl was an active power plant with rods all close to each other in a moderator to sustain a chain reaction. Enriched Uranium would not be stored in critical masses or around a moderator that can slow the neutrons enough to allow fission. Blowing up the facility would not start a massive nuclear fire like Chernobyl.

Tunnels can expand in any direction (around, like anywhere in a full circle around the plants), as far as they can...

They've been attacked before by the IDF... What, would they really not think of preparing for another one?

The claims are that all materials are intact in an undisclosed location deep down...

And they were speculating about the danger of this. I’m also curious to know about this.
