4. The sanctions against Iran were working

Unemployment in Iran is at 50%. Middle class Iranians make 200 - 300 dollars a month.

Regime change needs to come from within, and it would have come sooner because Iranians were pissed off at its economy.

I don't know if the US entering the war will turn people against Khamenei, it may just do the opposite.

This war is not about weapons of mass destruction, it's about regime change. Iran, if able, may now accelerate its nuclear program? It may take longer now, but the lesson learned seems to be that countries that have the bomb are not attacked by other countries.
