"The boys in the bombers"

I caught the tail end of hogsbreath's meeting with the press this morning, and this phrase jumped out at me. He said the boys in the bombers were on their way home. Could a person be any more disrespectful?

I know some of those men.

Unlike Whiskey Pete, who’s a fucking tabless beyotch, failed, infantry officer.

Vietnam War protests often called for bringing "out boys home". Although in Vietnam, there were a lot of late term early 20 year olds.

The difference here is I would imagine the people flying these special planes are older, career soldiers with years of special training.

I've often thought through much of this Trump shit - at what point would military leaders question him against their oath to the Constitution.

13. Think I agree. Doubt any of "boys" take that as disrespectful. There are big issues to criticize, but this ain't one.

I never heard that either in basic or later. From any MCOs or officers. Not sure if the WAC women were ever called girls.

And now with men and women in all roles including combat they need to be referred to as the adults they are.

Who put this drunken idiot in charge? Oh it was an adderall addicted idiot.

From the illegal, immoral order given to them to contend with the rest of their lives.

War is hell. What happened yesterday was unjust. Done to please one man. A convicted felon, rapist and now a mass murderer.

14. The announcement of the strike was made at 3:37 am Tehran time.

The BBC said 1:07 am BST, British Summer Time.

The strike happened not long before.

Who's going to be at fenced off, isolated high-security sites at 2:30 or 3:00 am early morning , even if Sunday is their second day of the workweek? (They take off Thursday to get ready for religious observance on Friday.)

Not a whole lot of civilians. Not even a lot of IRGC. Guards staffing the entrances for the most part, I'd say. Who knew that their locations would be possible targets of IDF strikes, in any event, another reason a rational military would limit on-site staff.

I don't see a wave of contrition due to mass civilian casualties overwhelming the "staff" on the bombers.

Haven't heard the IRGC give a death toll, but it won't be large and will all be military.
