In timing that’s almost too absurd to be real, The Onion has a full page ad in Sunday’s New York Times print edition featuring part of an editorial titled, “Congress, Now More Than Ever, Our Nation Needs Your Cowardice.” As the world wakes up to the news of the US bombing Iran, NYT subscribers perusing the news section will find this ad from the renowned satirical publication, meant to highlight the utter fecklessness of this country’s lawmakers.

Steve Hannah, nonfictional former CEO of The Onion,
Ted Kaczynski, a.k.a. the Unabomber,
Mary Kay Letourneau, a teacher who raped her 12-year-old student, gave birth to two daughters by him, and eventually married him after her prison sentence,

and someone else whose name I can’t decipher.

Fun fact: In German, "Zwiebel" means "Onion". In the case of the fake "owner" name, the only difference is that the "i" and "e" are transposed...either by design, or because the originator couldn't spell the word properly despite their tongue-cheek intent.
