Of course that means there is no way trump will follow it.
Basically, he said that trump needs to capitalize on the gratitude Israel has towards the US now by demanding that they endorse a cease fire. The cease fire needs to be used to return to negotiations.
There will be many, many negative repercussions of the unilateral action taken last night. Are we just going to suck up all the negative and dangerous blowback without demanding anything in return?
I fear the answer is yes.

(6,199 posts)or even remotely a normal President one disagrees with -- that people would recognize the urgency of what is happening and stop using words that normalized this situation. His advice is simply going to fall on deaf ears and pretending that we have a government that we can "disagree" with isn't what will save us. I like Merkley. I think Democrats are making big mistakes in this normalization of this situation.

(22,607 posts)from Tea Pain on bluesky that I posted in another thread. Basically, hey maga, remember how you voted for lower gas prices and an end to war? We're not going to let you forget.
But I'm afraid they will let them forget because that type of message needs to be relentless.
