So here is where we are....

While all the attention shifts to Iran, because the news and MAGA can only handle one thing at a time.

Inflation has not come down
Education is still under attack
Women being denied medical care and left to die in childbirth - and even tortured after death.
People are being kidnapped off the street, shoved into unmarked SUVs and shipped off to torture prisons with no legal recourse.
The federal government is sending armed thugs to terrorize people in their homes and jobs
States are forcing Christianity on everyone
We still don't have all the Epstein files
Public lands are about to be destroyed for personal profits
Crops are rotting in the field
The unemployment rate is shooting up
Housing starts have come to a full stop
Everyone's retirement savings is taking a beating
The GOP is gunning for old people and poor people (of course)
The Ukraine War is still on
Elon still has all our private info for profit
Election questions remain unanswered

and "Sleepy Joe" is still better on his worst day than anyone in this Admin is ever capable of being.

If I've missing anything important... please add.

Facts count. There is enough about tRump to attack without getting basic facts wrong.

US unemployment ticked down, hovering at historically low levels
The four-week average of claims, which smooths out week-to-week volatility, rose to 245,500, the highest since August 2023.

The number of Americans collecting unemployment benefits the week of June 7 slid to 1.95 million.

Weekly unemployment claim are a proxy for layoffs and mostly have stayed within a healthy band of 200,000 to 250,000 since the economy recovered from a brief but painful COVID-19 recession in 2020, which temporarily wiped out millions of jobs.

I didn't post links to any of what was posted in the OP. You are taking issue with those line items having to do with Trump's economy. If you are big fan, great. I am not. It was better under Biden for everyone I know, for most of America, and according to nearly every financial source outside of the Trump's admin reporting.

You've effectively hijacked the thread, seemingly looking for a fight. I am unclear why, so I'll abandon the thread. You can claim a victory I guess.

Happy day to you.

I'm a fan of facts, not tRump, so trying to pin that on me doesn't work.

Biden left tRump a good economy. I got out of the market in January because I could see what tRump was going to do to the economy. So don't try to attack me pretending I'm a "big fan".

tRump's economy is fraying around the edges, but so far is surprisingly resilient, surprising even to economists. Bide your time. Soon there will be a ton of economic data to show economic damage. For example, federal layoffs are masked by many of them being "deferred resignations" that take effect in September.

US single-family housing starts rise in May; permits slump

Single-family housing starts, which account for the bulk of homebuilding, rose 0.4% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 924,000 units last month, the Commerce Department's Census Bureau said on Wednesday.

Permits for future construction of single-family housing dropped 2.7% to a rate of 898,000 units in May.

While news screams “Iran!” loud and shrill,
Our crises grow sharper still.
Rights lost in the fight,
While they spotlight the right—
And we nap through chaos with skill.

They scream about threats far and wide,
While rot on our doorstep they hide.
With freedoms erased,
And truths left debased,
They sell off the country with pride.

While headlines shout “Iran’s gonna blow!”
The country’s in freefall below.
But news takes a nap,
While we step in the crap—
And Joe’s still the sharpest, you know.

so the obvious reaction by the media should be to divide their newscasts into quarters (for example) and cover each important story for 15 minutes. Times and order could be adjusted for breaking news, etc. But this complete capitulation to nothing but war coverage, every day, all the time, is playing into his hands. They did the same thing with dubya and I have no hope that they will do anything differently this time around. In fact, they will probably be worse.

During the service they had this song about welcoming people in your land, love thy neighbor and I got so emotional I cried thinking of the videos of innocent people following the rules showing up for their immigration hearings and getting taken away from unknown jack booted thugs. The songs words really hit home and I was in tears!

I can’t get over the cruelty of this administration and how his followers are “ supposedly “ Christian who support him and was angry over their blasphemous support of the most anti christ person they worship. And the fear and hatred he is generating. Now hearing of the this bombing of Iran last night I am so disgusted, angry and sad what he has done and how he has destroyed millions of people’s life because he wants money and power !

I want him to burn in hell asap!
