(12,321 posts)needs to factor in the wet bulb temperatures ... I'm in NE Indiana and the wet bulb was in the stern warning around 1:15 this afternoon. It's almost six hours later and I'm a hair away from still being in stern warning - now just at the warning. Stern warning is to curtail strenuous exertion, avoid activity in direct sun, and more.

(2,881 posts)Its hot and dry. As long as you keep up on drinking water and avoid direct sunshine its not as bad. Dew points here in Vegas have been below freezing with humidity at 5-10%. With a slight breeze its bearable in the shade. But full sun- ouch. You can get second degree burns from metal things in the sun.
This place isnt like Charleston SC. 100 degrees with a few point of 100. Horrible.
