His mistake (it would seem) was to carry water for the big money donors BEFORE he convinced the Democratic voters in NY that he was worthy of being elected mayor. It seems he was looking past a very important primary, as if he had already won it. I don't live in the Big Apple, so maybe I got it wrong.

Mamdani did mention similar Trump billionaires were also donating to Cuomo's campaign.

He did look forward past the primary but I can understand why because when Mamdani first started he was trailing by 30-40 percentage points. This was a historic collapse from the Cuomo campaign.

8. He was allied w turncoats

The were D at ekection time but in the State Senate they caucused w the GOP calling themselves the IDC. And Coumo is a big proponant of the boondogle idea to sieze a prosperous block and build mega towers as well as do ann unnneeded penn station track expansion.

I liked his COVID daily briefings, but I was never happy with much of his record. He ran like a Repug w little but attack ads with the occasional vague promise.

9. Mamdani was not my choice

I was backing Landers.

But Cuomo was at the bottom of my list. He needs to go away forever. He's damaged goods with a skeevy record. Plus, he's old school at a time we need fresh blood and fresh ideas. I feel there are a great many elected Democrats to whom those issues apply.

Mamdani will get a little money and my vote. He'll be the Democratic candidate and I always vote a straight Democratic ticket.

By the way, Adams can't be gone soon enough! More damaged goods.
