Both she and her husband are veterans as was her father in law who died a while ago.
The family is still waiting for his funeral at Arlington - delayed because of the scumbag and his MAGAt goons’ cuts and disrespect for vets.
This needs widespread coverage.

because there have been long delays in the past for Arlington National Cemetery funerals. But the cuts could not have helped.

In San Antonio. Been to two funerals there recently where burials were delayed a bit - not nearly as long as Arlington.

So many veterans are dying today from WWII to Korea to Vietnam to Kuwait, Iraq, etc.

My husband and I will have half our ashes place in a mausoleum at Fort Sam. My husband is a vet. The other half will be sprinkled in Rocky Mountain National Park.💕

My husband qualified for 21 gun salute and they didn’t have enough staff to do one. They whittle away bit by bit hoping veterans and their families won’t notice.

Is usually a year or more.

A friend of mine died a few years ago, and it took more than a year for him to be scheduled. Another former co worker died late last year, and he can’t be scheduled for about 14 months.

I told my friend in AZ who just got laid off in her state job to go to that site. She was in the fraud department researching frauds from Medicaid and unemployment. She's worked for the state of AZ for 12 years and is set to retire in 18 months. Now her life is upended because she's too young for Medicare and will lose her healthcare. She is not ready to retire but she hated that job anyway. She'll never be hired again as my experience of trying to find a full time job after I turned 50.
