"You saw that, where 14 missiles were shot at us the other day. And they were very nice. They gave us warning. They said, Were going to shoot them.
Is 1 oclock OK? They said its fine. And everybody was emptied off the base, so they couldnt get hurt, except for the gunners. They call them the gunners. And out of 14 high-end missiles that were shot at the base in Qatar, all 14, as you know, were shot down by our equipment. Amazing stuff, amazing what they can do."
As an AF Vet, I can't believe the clown would claim he did that. I'll chalk it up to him exaggerating out his ass again, but why isn't anyone mentioning how effed up that is?

(642 posts)I, too, am a retired AF vet and what Captain Bone Spurs said just reinforces his belief that military members are "suckers and losers" and the only time he care for the military is when they hold a parade for him or when he deploys the National Guard or active duty members to the streets of Los Angles.

(1,857 posts)He says we are disrespecting the pilots by saying they missed.
Idiot!
The coordinates were hit exactly as entered. The pilots really don't do much except refueling.
If the bombs missed, it wasn't the pilots.
Perhaps the complex was built with pyramid shaped deflectors. A minor deflection is all it takes.
The error was made in the voting booth last November.
The mission failed. You're FIRED!

(20,627 posts)The only conventional munition in the US arsenal with any hope of penetrating into those sites. Even that's debatable given the site's construction. The idea of complete destruction was ludicrous. Both were designed to withstand a sneak attack like this. But this wasn't an unannounced visit. Anything of value was dispersed across a relatively big country long before the US B-2's taxied for takeoff. A fools errand. Iran has been planning for just such an event since Obama was in office.
The thing that really pisses me off is once again Republicans put American service lives in danger for symbolic bullshit.

(255 posts)He sold out the soldiers in 2020 too! Al Asaad Air Base. 109 Troops w/mild to severe TBI's. Remember that weird one bomb thing he did back then? Our men/women were damaged. https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-military/2020/02/10/more-than-100-us-troops-diagnosed-with-tbi-after-irans-attack-at-al-asad-report/

(20,627 posts)That was a symbolic. Iran reserves the right to attack the US in a manner and time of their own choosing. This isn't over, but shithead doesn't understand that. He's going to get innocent Americans killed.

(21,177 posts)Actually, Trump belongs in at least 7 of Dante's 9 circles of hell, from what I can tell!
1. Limbo: For those who lived virtuous lives but were not baptized or born before the advent of Christianity. (This is the only one he definitely doesn't fit in.)
2. Lust: For those who were driven by sexual desire and uncontrolled passion. (He belongs here for sure.)
3. Gluttony: For those who overindulged in food and drink. (He belongs here, too.)
4. Greed: For those who were excessively greedy or wasteful. (He belongs here in spades!)
5. Wrath: For those who were consumed by anger and rage. (Boy howdy, does he ever belong here!)
6. Heresy: For those who denied religious doctrines. (Not that I know of?)
7. Violence: For those who committed violence against others, themselves, or nature.(If getting other people to commit violence on one's behalf counts, he belongs here as well.)
8. Fraud: For those who used trickery and deceit to harm others. (Another one where he'd fit right in.)
9. Treachery: For those who betrayed loved ones, their country, or their leaders. (YES.)
So does he get carved up into 7 different pieces or what? Does Dante ever say?

(1,015 posts)this AM Cali time. I heard him make that comment and MSNBC did cut away to a talking head that said "Wow, did trump just say he gave an OK to an Iranian attack on a US base?"
Immediately he was gone also. All done in the time it takes to flush a toilet.
The main stream media is a toilet come to think of it.

(320 posts)of personnel there. I doubt they were moved off the installation, especially in a short time frame. Of course there would have been hardened facilities available on base for all of them to locate to during the attack, but that's still risky. And then there's the possible severe damage to other property or facilities, or damage to the flight line and runways. No one, especially the President, should ever insinuate he "okayed" that. But this is who we are dealing with.

Please repukes he needs to be removed by the 25 amendment for that insane and dangerous nonsensical comment !
If President Biden said that comment the Fox propaganda channel would be melting down biggly!

(72,506 posts)A sitting president of the United States giving permission for an enemy to bomb
a US Air Force base?
Unbelievable.
I wonder what the Generals and troops thought of that very dangerous insanity.
And then to say how nice the enemy was as they bombed the USAF base.
Trump and Hegseth insist on putting US troops in grave danger.
