Trumps second term is giving a green light to blatant racism
Even when compared with his first stint in the White House, Trumps second administration seems far more permissive of overt expressions of bigotry.

(MSNBC) If there is a defining characteristic of President Donald Trumps second term aside from shameless self-enrichment out of the executive branch Id argue its the proliferation of unabashed and outspoken racism espoused by the president and many of his most loyal followers.
The online attacks launched by Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., against New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani demonstrated this in stark relief, such as here:

As did many of the other GOP responses to Mamdanis Democratic primary victory this week, which my MSNBC colleague Steve Benen highlighted for MaddowBlog. This reactionary post from Charlie Kirk, which reads like Ku Klux Klan propaganda, is a prime example:

During a recent conversation with MSNBCs Chris Hayes, author Ta-Nehisi Coates said that one of the Civil Rights Movements greatest successes has fallen apart in the Trump era: People no longer feel ashamed to express open bigotry. Coates added that one of Trumps most successful political instincts has been his bet that conservative voters are broadly more comfortable with the racist rhetoric that previous Republicans have flirted with a bit more obliquely. ................(more)

That said, I wonder why Kirk is trying to alienate other peoples? White people are a small minority of the world population, Charlie. Once Climate Change crushes civilization, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was "open season" on whites.
Our track record isn't very good. We've outright stolen three continents, killing, enslaving, or marginalizing the rightful inhabitants. We raped, looted, and enslaved the African people, in addition to stealing the bits we liked or could hold. We even took a stab at Asia, but it's so large and heavily populated that we had only marginal success before we had to mostly withdraw.
A large percentage of the major problems in the world can be traced to white people, Charlie.
