5. Ironically, the Sinclair affiliate in my area (Albany, NY) is CBS, the same news that is followed by Colbert

I noticed that they no longer say to stay tuned for Stephen Colbert.

... runs National Desk, shares channels and programming with WTFox channel, owns the WTFox channel for Sioux City. KMEG used to be a flagship local affiliate of CBS.

We always watched the NBC affiliate since I was a kid, the anchors were Chris Jansing (now of MSNBC) and Ed Dague who was known as a local progressive spokesman. And I promised another DUer years ago that I'd never watch the local CBS affiliate news since the infamous female anchor gave her brother a hard time because she was reporting live and the brother's band was hired to play in the same area and she demanded that they stop playing.
