What is the end game on demonizing Tylenol? Autism won't be reduced if pregnant women stop taking it.

The proof will not be in the pudding.

Just like tRump’s tariffs, the stated miracle cure will either do nothing or make things worse. Same with RFK JR firing people and editing health studies to fit his ideology. None of it has a chance of panning out because it’s all bs, so why pursue these policies? They’re all ticking time bombs.

The reason: because they can. Because they can assert that lies are truth. It’s an exercise in power. They have it, you don’t.

Now he can sue manufacturers of Tylenol and other pain relief brands and in court he can point to a government agency stating that the products cause harm.

It's a blatant conflict of interest since he himself made that policy determination, but that never stops these thugs.

Meanwhile Oz is marketing his snake oil remedies. Both of them will make a ton of money from this.

It's as simple as that.

I seriously think that’s a portion of it. He was crowing so loudly over his big “win” against JK, and his supporters were VERY invested in it also. There’s nothing he hates worse than losing or more precisely, NEWS of him losing. The appearance of losing is the one thing from him they won’t tolerate on repeat, long-term. He has to distract them, give them something novel to focus on while he face-splats in the background.

So why would he call a press conference and start screaming “don’t buy Tylenol?” How does he benefit? We know he gives no actual shits about kids or women or autism.

One benefit, less chatter about JK going back to work after Presdint Cankles spent two days crowing about how he got him “fired.”

He mentioned it in a speech he gave on Saturday that they would be making a big announcement about autism on Monday. It may have been earlier, I haven't check other speeches from last week. So he already planned this at least 2 days before ABC reinstated Kimmel so it had nothing to do with that.

I could be wrong, but I think when J&J takes heat for one of their products, they spin it off to a new subsidiary so it doesn't stay associated with the parent company.

It had anything to do with taking heat for one of their products. Their consumer products (such as Aveeno, Band-Aid, Neutrogena, and Tylenol) were placed under Kenvue while Johnson & Johnson maintained the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. Other pharmaceutical companies made similar moves recently including Merck, which sold its consumer health business to Bayer in 2014 and Pfizer, which merged its consumer health division with that of GSK in 2019.

Kenvue manufactures:

Aveeno
Band-Aid
Benadryl
Combantrin
Johnson's Baby
Listerine
Lactaid
Mylanta
Neutrogena
Trosyd
Calpol
Tylenol
Visine

Followed a pediatric ER doctor the last few months. She said yesterday she has four kids, one on the spectrum. She said she never took acetaminophen during that pregnancy. Three other pregnancies she took minimal acetaminophen and those kids were fine. She felt it was genetics that caused the one child to be on the spectrum and of course not acetaminophen since she didn’t take it during that pregnancy.

RFK Jr's whole project is to use the power of the federal government to generate bullshit "evidence" that nearly ubiquitous treatments are responsible for extraordinarily extensive damages.

Why?

Every doctor, every clinic/hospital/chain, every coverage provider, any manufacturer is a potential target. In aggregate those are enormous pockets. Massive numbers of potential plantiffs. Juries and judges are ill equipped to deal with conflicting experts' testimonies, so some plaintiffs will win. And consultants, like RFK Jr and his cronies will likely be for years and years to come while the water remains muddied, get paid win or lose.

He extorts money for tariffs, why would he not do the same for drug companies?

Also, most everything they do causes deaths. If women take alternatives, the other drugs will make them bleed more easily. That means more deaths during childbirth. I am telling you, they want to kill a nice chunk of us off. How else do you explain everything they have done that sill increase the mortality rate?

Pregnant Women in dangerous workplaces. Especially since women were beginning to sue employers for babies born with disabilities that could be linked to chemical or heavy metal exposure. (Thanks to OSHA!)

One of the conversations was about limiting women of child-bearing ages from jobs that could expose them to fetal dangers. Going so far as firing or them to keep them from working if they continued to try to work while their fetus was in a "delicate " condition.

The push-back on that was immense; but ..as most of the people involved with these topics are dead or retired, it wouldn't surprise me that the venal, rich self proclaimed "Masters of the World" want to bring back. Because - God. And Christian Nationalism. And the rightness of Class, Gender, and Racial Slavery. Everyone has to be in their Proper Place.
