(24,568 posts)Basic meds like Synthroid are imported from New Zealand. I buy my rx from a Canadian pharmacy because I can get 90mdays worth for around $45. In the US the cheapest is Costco but its still $100 for 90 days without insurance and $150 with insurance. Im so sick and tired of the game.

(37,929 posts)(I take it and liothyronine). You might want to ask your doctor to switch. It's $10/90 days through goodrx. You may need to go through a couple of extra visits until you get settled on the generic- but it's not over of those meds where brand name matters (outside of a transition period)
The ones I worry about are the ones for which there is no generic available.
