It is time for the Democrats to purchase time for a prime time address

Someone with some military cache (Tammy Duckworth immediately comes to mind) needs to address the nation in front of the rest of our members of Congress.

They should make clear…. Drumpf had declared war on the American people, and intends to unleash the military as an occupying force in the country.

They should make clear… the Posse Comitus act is still in effect, and the law exists exactly for the purpose of keeping a tyrannical leader from using the military to overthrow state and local governments.

They should also make clear in a direct appeal to the military that they swore an oath to defend the American people, NOT the president or Pete hegeseth.

Finally they should encourage the American people call their GOP reps in Congress and demand they work with the democrats on impeachment and removal.

We need LOUD and omnipresent voices on this. Before it is too late. And appearing as guests in an MSNBC show is not enough.

Exactly. They should have done it at separate times for several issues-- healthcare, budget/taxes, budget cuts, etc. Silent Type Sep 30 #5
Young people barely watch TV, let alone a lengthy political address from a party they think is boring. meadowlander Sep 30 #6

We need our best Democratic messengers going where people are and making noise, we need to all be talking to the squishy independents in our lives, and we need Democratic leaning entertainers and stars who have already made their "fuck em all" money to be out there hammering the Republicans mercilessly creating clips that can go viral.
