Taniel: PunchBowl is reporting that Ohio Republicans have proposed a 'deal' to Democrats... on the GOP's gerrymander

Important redistricting news tonight: Ohio is the rare state that *HAS* to redraw its congressional map this year, & the GOP was mulling a map that'd lock in a 13-2 delegation. (It's 10-5 now, though 2-3 of the Dem seats very fragile.)

Politico is reporting that Ohio Republicans have proposed a 'deal' to Democrats, where they don't go for the 13-2 map, in exchange for Dems agreeing on a map that'd be a more aggressive GOP gerrymander — but that'd also preserve a plausible path for Dems to not lose a seat, or at least not more than one.

Of 3 vulnerable Dems: New map would make things even harder (but not impossible) for Marcy Kaptur. It'd make Greg Landsman's district dead even, from lightish blue. It'd make Emilia Sykes's a touch bluer.

Ally Muttnick (from PunchBowl, not Politico, sorry) reports Dems are inclined to accept this.
