Oh, Stevie Wonder was initially penciled in to co-write the song with Michael Jackson, but two weeks before the recording, with no song, it became clear it wasn’t gonna happen. Lionel Richie was wearing, like, five hats that night but Quincy Jones deserves the credit holding it all together and getting it across the finish line.
