NC-SEN: Cooper touts over $9.5 million in Q4 fundraising in North Carolina Senate race

Former North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) is touting a more than $9.5 million haul in the fourth quarter of fundraising of 2025, easily outpacing former Republican National Committee (RNC) chair Michael Whatley’s haul in the North Carolina Senate race, according to figures first shared with The Hill.

Cooper’s campaign noted that the former governor received contributions from each of the state’s 100 counties, with over 90 percent of those contributions being small donations of up to $100. It’s not immediately clear how much money Cooper starts off 2026 with; his campaign alone reported having $8.5 million in the bank to start off the fourth quarter of 2025 fundraising.

“Roy Cooper is running to lower costs and deliver for hardworking families in the Senate and these fundraising numbers demonstrate how much that resonates with North Carolinians,” Cooper’s campaign manager Jeff Allen said in a statement.

“This is the most competitive race in the country and we’re building an operation to earn every vote and make sure North Carolina has a senator who will fight for them.”

Plus might be silly but I complained that I never even saw their campaign ads. I wish them good luck but am saving up for a good run against the evil idiot.
