And...BOTH BLUE STATES!
No wonder TSF doesn't want to go, you'd be able to hear the boo's everywhere in the country even with your TV muted.

(101 posts)Don't wanna be an American idiot
Don't want a nation under the new mania
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mindfuck America
Chorus:
Welcome to a new kind of tension
All across the alienation
Where everything isn't meant to be okay
In television dreams of tomorrow
We're not the ones who're meant to follow
For that's enough to argue
Well, maybe I'm the f****t, America
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda
Now everybody, do the propaganda
And sing along to the age of paranoia
Chorus
Don't wanna be an American idiot
One nation controlled by the media
Information age of hysteria
It's calling out to idiot America
Note Bene: I wasn't sure how to handle the anti-gay slur. I hope that was how it is done.

(1,729 posts)Seattle and New England are both kind of hated teams. Like no one will care who wins

(149 posts)They have a class coach in Vrabel, and a rising star in Drake Maye. Seattle is the class of the west, but the Pats deserve to be there and have a shot. I glad to see the Pats back.

(23,836 posts)I grew up with Plunkett to Vataha (they played for Stanford previously!)
Fans cheered when Plunkett was pulled from the game. That's because they were glad he was spared slaughter due to an offensive line about my size and strength.
Moved to the bay area in 1980. Young guy named Rice just hitting his stride.
Brady grew up in the bay area. Family is still here.
My prediction: The 49ers will be back when they rid themselves of the "Nick Bosa Curse"

F*** him and his F***ing hat.
Jed York doesn't see it. John Lynch doesn't see it.

(113,039 posts)I may tune in to see the MAGA meltdown over Bad Bunny and Green Day, but no interest in either team now playing in the Super Bowl. I'm guessing there will be quite a few that feel as I do, but we shall see. NFL definitely needs good ratings and I don't wish for them to be denied that.

(49 posts)I will never forgive the Rams for that no call pass interference in 2019. The Saints would absolutely have beaten the Patriots in the Super Bowl. I will die on that hill.

(133,458 posts)However as a Seahawks season ticket holder I found out ticket packages start at $8000. That's for a ticket in the 400 level, a hotel room and Super Bowl swag. That does not include a plane ticket to the game if you need one.

(22,297 posts)There is the talk about withdrawing the FIFA World Cup or European teams boycotting in protest of what is happening in the US
How much more meaningful would it be if teams boycotted the Super Bowl in protest?

(14,671 posts)7 or the final 8 were Blue States. Texans were only outliers.
Dont think that means anything, but Trump
did go ahead and announce his non-attendance when it was down to 4 very blue cities in blue states vying to play in San Francisco.
