Sounds like South Carolina has two faces.

I always thought South Carolina was Alabama's sister-wife, but a friend just came back from babysitting her grandchild and as a retired Kindergarten teacher she had the background to appraise her grandbaby's curriculum. She said the little one goes to a public bilingual school. In the morning the classes are in English, and in the afternoon it's Spanish. For homework she has to recognize both, English and Spanish words. I think she called them sight words. The one negative she saw is that some kids may have reading development issues that will make these exercises very challenging.

But, anyway, there it is. We are only seeing one side of these Southern states through their loud-mouth Congress people. Meanwhile, there are people in the same States trying to secure the future for their children.

Too bad we don't have the same thing happening in Florida.
