Appearing on MS NOW to discuss CBS lawyers interfering with late-night host Stephen Colberts planned interview with Texas Democrat James Talarico, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) claimed she has not heard from Colbert to also appear to discuss her Senate bid.
Host Colbert put the network on the defensive after he was told he couldnt show the interview on his show, or even mention rising star Talarico, because CBS lawyers feared retribution from FCC Chairman Brendan Carr.
That has set off another firestorm for CBS, which has been increasingly scrutinized after parent company Paramount paid a settlement to President Trump to make a lawsuit he had filed over a 60 Minutes interview go away.

Hey Brendan Carr, inquisitive minds would like to know when and if your cronies over at the Heritage Foundation that wrote this Project 2025 BS and are you and that orange hair traitor are now implementing the fascist Victor Orban playbook you had a meet and greet with that Hungarian pr**k to learn how to use his methods of dismantling independent journalism and shutting down universities, was it on these dates March 8, 2024, and July 11, 2024 .........simple yes or no................you know CBS and Paramount are following Orban's playbook to the T...............with you help Carr......

(2,680 posts)It's quite ridiculous that Rep. Crockett keeps being asked about this incident that has absolutely nothing to do with her. Yet she keeps politely answering all the media questions on it. I don't see Talarico or Colbert out there explaining it. Just Crockett.

(22,611 posts)What is there to explain that Colbert didnt cover on his show the night of the censorship?

(2,680 posts)Colbert is not a lawyer and I think he misunderstood some of what was happening. The FCC has been trying to go after The View for quite some time. Recently Carr opened an investigation of their show with his BS "Equal Time Rule" crap that does not apply at all. Because of this, lawyers at CBS/Colbert, probably due to their fear of the con artist, advised Colbert that Carr could attempt to go after him to. Now, it's ridiculous that the lawyers are this weak and were caving to or even entertaining caving to this ridiculousness, and it's great that Colbert exposed this move by Carr, but it has absolutely nothing to do with Jasmine Crockett. Jasmine Crockett isn't complaining that she didn't get her "equal time", she is simply answering all the media questions she keeps getting asked about what this was all about.
