WaPo motto: "Democracy dies in darkness." Bozos: "Can't we speed that up a bit ?"

You've probably known people to say that "1984 was a warning, not an instruction manual". Well, the GOP showed it's what you make of it that matters, not what was intended. So with those four words which have appeared at the top of the WaPo for decades. Most readers (at least those not written up in the exposés themselves) saw this as a noble sentiment; Bozos saw it and said "yes, that should work". And he has the money to pull if off. A century after TR used the phrase, we are still in need of a way to protect ourselves from "malefactors of great wealth", having largely negated what protections had been established. It is hard to see any better method than never allowing them to accumulate such wealth in the first place. I.e. -- TAX THE BILLIONAIRES !!

No one should EVER be on the verge of becoming a trillionaire. Such great fortunes are only accumulated on the backs of great crimes.
