Now that the tariffs have been struck down, I can't wait to see the malAdministration start downplaying...

...how much tariff revenue they've actually taken in so far once they have to start paying it back.

Yesterday it was TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS in tariff revenue, but today it will be...meh, just a few hundred billion that we have to return--no big deal. They just got us coffee one time; I don't think they actually ever worked here....

“Without tariffs, and all of the TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS we have already taken in, our Country would be completely destroyed, and our military power would be instantly obliterated,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump claimed earlier this month that “trillions of dollars are being taken in on tariffs” and his levies have “not caused inflation, or any other problems for America, other than massive amounts of CASH pouring into our Treasury’s coffers.”

And of course the whole Administration is in on the charade:

“So I think we could be on our way, well over half a trillion, maybe towards a trillion-dollar number,” Mr. Bessent said. “This administration, your administration, has made a meaningful dent in the budget deficit.”

Sure, they are going to try to circumvent the law in other ways--and there will be a lot of hyperbole in the meantime coming out of the White House--but once people start showing up with receipts and wanting their money back you can bet those "trillions of dollars" will melt right away into an insignificant amount compared to how much the American people have saved on the price of gas...or some such [REDACTED].
