We are going to see soon if the supreme court still matters to Trump

We may be at the point where Trump is so pissed after the tariffs were struck down that he will ignore the Supreme Court. Of course, they brought it upon themselves when they declared he was not liable for anything he does in office that can be construed as official.

The Constitution only says what the Supreme Court says it said.

Supreme Court Justices are appointed by politicians.

The Court has no enforcement mechanism so anybody in a position of power can ignore what the Court has affirmed.

We actually see it quite often. Many times court rulings are ignored without any consequences.

Our Constitutional Republic is only as viable as the Rule of Law.

You'd think the legislative could hammer out these differences between the exec and judicial

But apparently no one's in charge - anywhere

Think about the school integration efforts where presidents have called in the national guard to enforce.

But with this, how do you enforce customs officials not charging tariffs? I guess they become bribes that Trump will just pocket.

Who would have the legal standing to impose and collect them? Who would be stupid enough to pay them? The lawsuits would be stacked to the moon.
