FL-GOV: Jerry Demings (D) says he's gaining support for Governor run
Jerry Demings has announced another round of endorsements in his bid to become Florida’s next Governor.
Demings, a Democrat, is adding support from current and former elected officials with experience from local government up to Congress, as well as from members of faith-based organizations.
“I’m honored to have the support of so many respected leaders who have dedicated their careers to serving the people of Florida,” said Demings, who is currently serving as Orange County Mayor following a career in law enforcement. “Together, we will work to create opportunity, strengthen public safety, and ensure every Floridian has a chance to succeed.”
Among those backing Demings is former Attorney General Bob Butterworth.
