If Trump is a Russian agent, as many believe, what would be their "grand plan"?
Since the war started with Iran, Trump has lifted the sanctions on Russian oil that was in transport. Russia is dependent on their oil for their economy to work and to pay for their war against Ukraine. The price of oil going up helps Putin immensely.
And what is the deal with Russia giving Iran satellite information on American troops? Trump's response, was that "they do it, we do it, everybody does it" and that's the way it is. But what about our troops? That does not seem to be a major concern of his.
Trump seems to have convinced a large part of our country that the only way we win is by losing. If he is not working for Putin, then who is he working for? Certainly not the United States.
What will be the consequences of this war? We lose American lives. We turn the world against us, including our allies. We tear the military apart with reckless missions and unnecessary wars. We tear the nation apart. The division is a winner for Putin.

(32,110 posts)Billionaires are making out like bandits. Chris Murphy is introducing a bill in the Senate that prohibits Congress from placing bets on betting sites. Hundreds of millions of dollars were placed on when the war would start and lo and behold a lot of people collected hundreds of millions of dollars. The oligarchs in the fossil fuel industry are raking in billions of dollars because of the war. The military industrial complex oligarchs are making billions of dollars from the war. In 72 hours Krasnov fired 400 Tomahawk Cruise missiles, it takes 2 or 3 years to manufacture that many missiles.
The 1% isn't going to stop going out to fancy restaurants because of the war. The economy for you and me is going to be bad, I'm on a fixed income, with that said, I have a rule that I live by, I do not want a bargain on my food or my healthcare and I am sticking to that for as long as I can.
