Ali Larijani, a top Iranian security official and a conservative force within Iran’s theocracy, was killed in an Israeli strike, Iranian authorities confirmed Tuesday. He was 67.

OTOH, I do not automatically believe anything put out by Iran, either.

I believe that Israel's goal from the start has been to invade Iran on the ground to capture and destroy Iran's nuclear facilities. I also believe that the Trump regime has known this from the start.

Israel is doing it for their safety. Iran really is a serious threat to the safety of Israel. Other nations in the region feel endangered by Iran which is why they expected protection from US bases.

Trump's interest is personal. He never does anything without expecting something for himself. His hope of gain from the war is a terrorist free ME in order to proceed with his plans for a Gaza resort.

Iran is a bad international actor. I think I object more to the way that the war is being carried out than to the fact that Iran's leaders are being attacked. Also, there are the long range and far reaching effects of the war and the lack of US planning.

Would not be necessary if Trump had not trashed the nucjear treaty negotiated during 0bama's administration.

It was called Operation Northwoods where they wanted to do a terrorist attack against themselves and blame Cuba which they could use the public outrage to support a war against Cuba. Thankfully JFK turned it down.
