So, from Truth Social, the felon apparently wants the ACA (as he calls it the UnAffordable Care Act) replaced with cash payouts out to the people to buy their own healthcare.
He must really be confident hes going to successfully rig November and suppress the vote, isnt he? As he keeps piling more debt on, markets keep tanking, gas prices, grocery prices soar, we have a deeply unpopular war thats seen the deaths of American soldiers and Iranian schoolgirls, those of us who care about the Epstein Files, the DHS shutdown, a police state which has murdered Americans, at least one sexual assault we know of, no body cams, no masks, healthcare prices already higher, and this clown thinks itd be a good idea right now to tinker with peoples healthcare right now on top of it?
The felon better hope he can tamper, tamper, tamper in November, else MAGA will be drenched in a sea of blue.

(3,033 posts)Obviously, theyre going to try to steal in November. Whether or not they succeed, theyll absolutely try.
So, if the elections arent rigged, it might exceed the blue tsunami of 2006. He must be banking on them being rigged, because no way would voters otherwise tolerate this.

(1,783 posts)We know many Republicans are expecting to lose and so are retiring which historically has been a sign of significant losses for the party experiencing the retirements.
We know we keep winning off year and special elections and over performing when we don't. If they have a magic cheat button, are they forgetting to use it?
We know Trump is trying desperately to make voting harder because he expects to lose.
We know that Trump is deeply unpopular and we are heavily favored on the generic ballot polls.
Given all of that, and Trump's enormous ego, what's his incentive to change? He's not going to make people forget what he's doing because he's president, and so any "change" wouldn't be effective. His best tool is to double down because that's what he's done his entire life.
Stop thinking that we can only lose if they cheat. We are quite capable of losing elections, but we are also quite capable of winning them.

(3,033 posts)Remember, we did well in some off year/special elections during the Biden administration and we avoided a bloodbath in 2022, then 2024 happened.
My point l was getting at is, wouldnt he try to cheat and to rig this November? If Republicans wouldnt try so hard to cheat, wed run away with this. Yes, I know were capable of losing elections - we cant only lose if they cheat; but trumps unpopularity/unpopular policies/war/economy is setting up for us to win big in the fall, and if things stay where they are or get worse, no way are we losing unless they cheat - especially with history on our side.

(11,284 posts)pay waaaayyyy more in premiums than those who pay into group policies? Giving people a pittance to go out and buy their own insurance would be a disaster - just like everything that he does. All to remove Obama's name from a successful plan. But he thinks dangling cash in front of the citizenry will make people like him, Maybe they will until they see how little he is giving them and how little that will go towards buying decent health insurance.

His compulsion with a black man publicly embarrassing him that one night drives both his attacker on OBAMACARE and ending up with the same deal with Iran that had Obamas name on it.

(2,350 posts)Im not overly optimistic about the general intellectual or moral capacity of our electorate.
Especially amongst the younger voters, there are way too many out there who will respond to a cash payout because at this point they dont believe theyre going to get anything else.

Of course, if we truly had a more moral and intellectual electorate, the felon wouldve been laughed off the stage in 2015.
