Powell pulls ahead in front by 1000 votes!

Omaha, Nebraska.

Denise Powell is leading John Cavanaugh with 90% of vote in and still too close to call as of late last night, early this morning.

Cavanaugh is a Trump supporter in sheep’s clothing. He acts like a Democrat but has always had a GOBer mindset long before Trump was even the president the first time. Cavanaugh’s father was the same way when he held a seat in Congress himself in the late 70’s into the early 80’s. Cavanaugh has some high profile back funding from unknown sources. Some say it’s GOBer backed funding. I don’t trust Cavanaugh or any of his tricks.

Powell is by far the better qualified candidate of the two candidates on paper and policies. She also destroyed his theory about taking the Blue Dot away from Nebraska and the Omaha area their only chance to have a Democrat voice in the elections. He is all for a complete red state.

This is for Nebraska 2nd US Congressional seat for the primary, Don Bacon’s seat in the US Congress.

It is outrageous to call Cavanaugh a closet MAGAt or that he desires Nebraska to go all Rethug in the Electoral College. That is absolute bullshit.

Cavanaugh is not a Trump supporter! There are still about 8000 votes to be counted as of Wednesday morning. We will not know the outcome before Friday. Cavanaugh is the most qualified for the job.

He supports Trump in a lot ways. I knew him when he was younger thru a friend of mine. He’s is an absolute arrogant person. He says one thing and then flips and flops between his lies. Just look how he voted to help Ricketts and Pillen out? Whichever way you choose? It’s your choice! He is not the best candidate in any way!

Oh and I never said that it was over! In fact, I said “it was too close to call”! There is one fact that you got wrong!

Not through a friend of a friend. He has always stepped up for labor and working people in this state. Stop insulting a progressive with a strong record.

Says more about you and your agenda that you’re insulting a Democrat with a strong record (against du rules) than it does myself or Cavanaugh.

She is not for raising the SS cap. She wants to go into a huddle that does nothing.

Cavanaugh has a record of being pro union and pro worker. Powell didn’t receive a single union endorsement nor did I hear her speak on any issues related to labor like the PRO Act. She is a New Democrat, Cavanaugh is a progressive. The allegations of being pro Trump are outrageous and have all come from out of state pacs.

What I find interesting is that the same people who accuse progressive Democrat Cavanaugh of being a closet Trump supporter are the same people who say we need him to keep the blue dot. If he was a closet Trump supporter wouldn’t he cross party lines and cast the deciding vote for winner take all? It doesn’t add up.

that make it unlikely that he's a trump supporter. I don't live anywhere near Nebraska, but it seems that Republicans may have put out ads to make it seem as though he is a trump supporter to decrease support for him. He may have been an arrogant jerk when he was younger, and may still be a jerk, but that doesn't equal maga. All we should care about is who votes for Democratic policies and ideals and who can win.

BTW, I truly understand the concern as Florida has experienced the duplicity of "Democratic" candidates who flipped to Republican the moment they won their election.

If he isn’t a true Democrat why would you trust him to not support winner take all and getting rid of the “blue dot”? Why would he have one of the most progressive records in the unicameral? Why would he have the endorsement of the Progressive Democratic Caucus?

them in the Omaha area oppose changing the Blue Dot. What’s more, Nebraska Democrats are contesting five legislative seats in the state, with national funding support, and are likely to at least offset a potential Cavanaugh departure, if not pick up multiple seats beyond that in an expected Democratic wave. Finally, if the Blue Dot did change, Democrats in Maine, the other state that apportions by electoral district, have said they would do the same thing, eliminating Republican chances to earn an electoral vote in that blue state and wiping out any impact from Nebraska.
