CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) A man who goes by Chud the Builder and livestreams himself saying racially derogatory statements to Black people in public settings was taken into custody after being involved in a shooting outside a Tennessee courthouse on Wednesday, authorities said.
Dalton Eatherly and an unidentified man were involved in a confrontation that resulted in gunfire, District Attorney Robert J. Nash said in a statement. But Nash wouldnt say why Eatherly was at that courthouse in Clarksville, what he was doing or what prompted the confrontation.
Police didnt provide the race of the other man. However, a witness who said she saw him loaded into an ambulance described him as Black.
Both men were transported to hospitals for medical treatment and were stable, the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office said.

(754 posts)Im all for the first amendment but when someone stays in your face spewing hate, that should be grounds for law enforcement intervention followed by prosecution.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Social media personality Dalton Eatherly, also known as Chud the Builder, was arrested on Saturday, May 9 after he reportedly bought nearly $400 worth of food at Bobs Steak and Chop and didnt pay for it, according to an arrest affidavit.
According to the affidavit, Eatherly, who films content, including racially charged content on Broadway, was asked by the restaurant that he does not live stream or be disruptive for dining service.
After ordering two full entrees, drinks and appetizers, totaling $371.55, the restaurant realized he had been live streaming and asked him to stop. ... According to the affidavit, Eatherly became disruptive and started making racial statements, yelling, screaming and creating a scene. ... Eatherly then reportedly made statements of not paying for his food, which he consumed during his time at the restaurant, according to the affidavit.
The affidavit said Eatherly intended to deprive, withhold and otherwise refused to make a payment for the meal he had consumed. ... Eatherly was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and theft of services. Eatherly was booked on a bond totaling $5,000.

Racist streamer ChudTheBuilder arrested for refusing to pay restaurant bill

Racist streamer ChudTheBuilder was booked into custody in Nashville following an alleged dispute at a restaurant where he was reportedly kicked out before refusing to pay his bill.
ChudTheBuilder, whose real name is Dalton Levi Eatherly, is an IRL streamer known for confrontational public broadcasts. He has faced repeated backlash over his content, including accusations of racial harassment and public harassment during streams.
The streamer was also recently banned indefinitely from Kick after viral clips showed him filming members of the public and continuing to engage with people who appeared to ask him to stop.
