Hi DUers - request for help

I’m helping to raise funds for the Hive Youth Program in Santa Ana, CA

It is an after-school program serving at risk kids with academic support, mentor-ship, and a safe place to go after school. Many families in the program can’t pay, so donations are needed to keep the program going.

Our Spring Fund Drive is currently running through May 23rd, and gifts of any amount make a difference towards rent, staff, snacks, field trips, and enrichment activities. If you would like to donate please visit the https://www.hiveyouthprogram.org/.

Thank you so much for supporting these kids and for helping keep the Hive buzzing!

We also have volunteer needs for anyone living in the OC, if you have any free afternoons. (2:45 to 6:00 PM on Monday thru Wednesday)

Message me if you want any additional info. Basically it is a low income Hispanic area. Trying to help the kids to exceed in school and hopefully get into College. We get a great deal of help from local HS Kids, (Mater Dei and Santa Ana HS) who provide academic assistance.

If your are in the OC and have an afternoon to help (starting in the Fall) we can use you. Helping with Grade School homework, tossing a ball with kids, helping kids with presentation skills. The program also helped with getting groceries to the local families during the ICE presence last year.

(I'm not IN the OC, but on a clear day I can SEE ya'll from my back yard!).

This is the part I don't understand. I REALLY want this to be anonymous. If I donate via PayPal, which is what pops up on my screen when I hit 'Donate', do they (you?) get my personal information? I.e name, address?

Thanks!

But do me a favor and hold off until tomorrow so I can verify no one with access to PayPal admin account can’t see anything.

Sent an email to the PayPal admin to verify what he can see.

Everything helps. Being able to buy some fruit, bread and lunch meat for snacks is a great day.

There is no cost to the families and up until recently they took two snack days a month. Unfortunately too many can not even afford that recently thus the need reach out for help.

My pay, I get to try never before tried seasoning on watermelon and orange slices.

The kids are very appreciative and we are trying to expand their horizons along with basic skills.

Blows my mind when talking to kids about a beach day and some haven’t dipped their toes in the Pacific, which is less than 15 miles away.
