Jonathan Turley suggested I am a "radical" and "Jacobian" for literally quoting the Virginia Constitution's Bill of Rights.ð
The best part is Turley suggests that by posting the VA Bill of Rights I am disregarding the founders. The Virginia Bill of Rights was written by George Mason -- one of the most influential of the founders. It served as a model for another Virginian named Thomas Jefferson.

Thank Goddess for Marc Elias!
I know, I know the mantra I here is DEMOCRATS AREN'T DOING ANYTHING.
What I see when I read and hear that...is those that are saying that are the ones that are not paying attention!

(20,982 posts)Jacobin. Not jacobian or jacobean. One is a mathmatics term, the other an era in English and Scottish history.
Bad Turley.

(37,164 posts)Jonathan Turley has not officially changed his party registration to Republican; he has historically described himself as a liberal, a libertarian, or an independent who voted for Barack Obama. However, he shifted toward representing Republican interests around 2014, notably leading a lawsuit against the Obama administration.
Key Shifts in Turley's Alignment:
2014: Represented House Republicans in a lawsuit against President Obama regarding the Affordable Care Act.2019:
Testified as the sole Republican-invited expert witness during the first impeachment hearing of Donald Trump, arguing against the impeachment process.
Ideological Evolution:
Critics argue his legal positions have shifted from his 1998 testimony during the Clinton impeachment to more closely align with conservative positions during the Trump era.
Turley continues to present himself as a constitutional expert who calls "strikes for both sides," although he has become a regular commentator for conservative media
