Consciousness doesnt make any sense. Sights, sounds, smells, textures. The warmth of love, the sting of sadness, the coldness of heartbreak. Why do we experience any of it? Why does it feel like anything to be you? Why is there a little person inside of your head? And a story of your life that exists through time?

The Woke are enlightened and appreciate being part of the wonder that is our universe. They tap into ever higher levels of awareness -- reality.

Summary:
Is consciousness something the brain produces, or is it woven into the fabric of reality itself? Renowned neuroscientist Christof Koch is challenging long-held scientific assumptions by confronting the hard problem of consciousness why and how subjective experience exists at all. He highlights growing tensions between neuroscience, physics, and unexplained phenomena like near-death experiences and sudden moments of clarity before death.
Snip.
Three Key Challenges in Understanding Consciousness
Koch's talk focuses on three major areas where current explanations fall short. First is the difficulty of fully reducing conscious experience to physical brain mechanisms. Second are questions raised by modern physics about what can truly be considered "real." Third is the persistence of unusual experiences, such as near-death experiences, mystical states, or episodes of terminal lucidity, which do not fit neatly into existing scientific frameworks.

The fortunate people are tuned in to the greater reality. The aware see that we all are part of something greater and we all spend our short times exploring and discovering it.
The unaware, like Sleepy Don the Traitor, not so much tuned in to their reality and place in it. Tragically for themselves and others around them, they are asleep at the switch of life.
No wonder the conservatives hate educated people and despise public education. If they only knew, they would feel shame at what they have believed and have done.
Most importantly: Thank you, Uncle Joe, for keeping us up on the most important issues and questions of all.
