(17,983 posts)as a function of his job. Why can't Ro Khanna? Part of his job is to call out bad actors making major decisions for our economy. He needs to have the same freedom of speech in his role as a lawmaker as Trump has as chief executive.

(46,339 posts)That weakens the argument that it is protected by the speech and debate clause. However, he was calling for Congressional investigations, subpoenas, etc., which brings it closer to the purpose of the Speech and Debate Clause.
In any event, Musk couldn't win a defamation case because he wouldn't be able to prove actual malice.
