Sometimes Rachel Maddow is too brainy, she used a most uncommon word "Ascendant"

instead of "growing", "on it's way up", I like unusual words used in posts or responses

it's nice to be around literate people, though. The other day one of the desk assistants told me that she was able to assist me with an account problem as she had had an epiphany.

and people comment on it or don't know it plus I'm in my early 60's....don't get me started on "brake or break, then or than" and so many others, I have to log off (of) Reddit
