This is who is telling us Social Security is running out of money sooner than they thought

These are the people telling us that Social Security is running out of money SOONER than originally thought, who believes them?

RFK Junior, Scott Bessent,
Frank Bisignano, Lori Chavez; all Trump appointees. Of course they are lying.

Why in the hell does anyone believe this and why doesn’t the media talk about this more, I told you they’re gonna take our Social Security while everybody shakes their head up and down saying oh yeah yeah I know that money is gone, it’s not there it’s gone yeah uh-huh.

These are the TRUSTEES, every word we hear about Social Security now comes from these four corrupt assholes.

This group of clowns and sycophants all have HUGE credibility problems!!!

Which is a prerequisite to receive their Cabinet level appointments.

The worst case for Social Security is a bad economy, unemployment, and cheap labor. All of which republicans have brought to the table.
The worse case for republicans is that Social Security may call in some of that debt. That might leave them with no choice but to raise taxes.

And you would have thought I wanted to sacrifice his first born. For all the money he makes it’d be a trivial amount, but he was adamant that it hat was too big a burden for him to bear.

I knew he was MAGA, but this drove it home.

The cap needs to be eliminated. When I was working I would hit the cap in August or September and I would never really notice the the difference in my take home. If my middle class could manage while still maxing out my 401K there's no reason the fat cats can't pay their fair share as well.

Therefore we know everything they tell us is a lie.

You wouldn’t know that from our media though.

since the Social Security Act was passed in 1937. They had the 'just let them die off' attitude toward the elderly back then, when only the wealthy elite had money to live on going into their retirement "golden years". Socialist programs were thought of as communist then, not much has changed in the conservative mindset. I've not heard of any Republican or conservative refusing to accept payment from Social Security when they have reached retirement age though.

Older workers were staying in jobs, meaning that younger workers had less jobs. SS allowed millions of older workers to retire and open up jobs for younger workers.

That's not the case so much any more. I've been hearing the old "social security is gonna go broke" bullshit my entire life. Hell, I remember actually saying it back in my teens/twenties: "It won't be there by the time I'm eligible." More bullshit.

A couple of simple tweaks will solidify the program for another generation. Raise the cap, and by the way also raise the minimum wage so more money goes into the system.

Because the mainstream media you all insist on watching is owned by the billionaires, who don't give a crap about paying you SS. In fact, they'd rather not pay it. People seem to not like this answer, but it's the truth.

Raise it to $250k and we'll be fine for decades.
Do you know who doesn't want that to happen? Yes, you do.

Those worth more than $20mllion taxed at 5%.
Also a cap or graduated tax on capital gains.
Might save the rich from being eaten.
