Tuesday is election day in Anchorage. Here's how to make sure your vote is counted

Election day is Tuesday in Anchorage, and last-minute voters still have time to make sure their ballot is counted.

Voters will elect six Anchorage Assembly seats and two at-large Anchorage School Board positions on Tuesday. Residents will also consider municipal bonds, including a one-time, $12 million tax levy for the Anchorage School District.

Roughly 42,000 ballots had been collected by Monday afternoon, which is pacing slightly ahead of last year’s municipal election, according to elections officials.

Registered voters can return their physical ballot in three different ways.
