California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) just ramped up his feud with Fox News.

Newsom announced Friday that he filed a defamation lawsuit against Fox News, seeking $787 million over host Jesse Watters’ claim that Newsom lied about his phone calls with President Donald Trump earlier this month. According to Politico, Newsom alleged that Watters’ program "misleadingly edited a video of Trump to support the claim."

“No more lies. I’m suing Fox News for $787 million,” Newsom wrote on social media platform X.

“If Fox News wants to lie to the American people on Donald Trump’s behalf, it should face consequences — just like it did in the Dominion case,” Newsom told Politico in a statement. “Until Fox is willing to be truthful, I will keep fighting against their propaganda machine.”
