Hegseth halted weapons for Ukraine despite military analysis that the aid wouldn't jeopardize U.S. readiness

Source: NBC

The Defense Department held up a shipment of U.S. weapons for Ukraine this week over what officials said were concerns about its low stockpiles. But an analysis by senior military officers found that the aid package would not jeopardize the American military’s own ammunition supplies, according to three U.S. officials.

The move to halt the weapons shipment blindsided the State Department, members of Congress, officials in Kyiv and European allies, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the matter.

“We are not at any lower point, stockpile-wise, than we’ve been in the 3½ years of the Ukraine conflict,” Smith, the ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee, told NBC News.

Suspending the shipment of military aid to Ukraine was a unilateral step by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, according to three congressional aides and a former U.S. official familiar with the matter. It was the third time Hegseth on his own has stopped shipments of aid to Ukraine, the sources said. In the two previous cases, in February and in May, his actions were reversed days later.

A "unilateral step" by Hegseth after an order from Trump after he talked to Putin.

is as much Trump's fault as it is Putin's now. He can pout all he wants about how he's "not happy" with Putin but it is all on him. If there was real justice in this world they would both be swinging from the gallows next to each other. Since I'm generally anti-death penalty we can just dangle them for a bit until they're unconscious then throw them into a cell for the rest of their miserable lives.

after that was announced, Russia clobbered Ukraine/Kiev with the largest bombardment of weapons by Russia, in the war so far...........

I don't believe in coincidences............

Ukraine needs to retaliate, in masse, on every single fuel refinery in Russia..........

Russia/Putin, in case everyone missed it, intentionally hit the new sarcophagus covering Chernobyl with a drone, punching a fair size whole in it.
The repair will be a major, time consuming, expensive event for Ukraine, and one needing an all out emergency repair...........Cute, huh.......

more production. How about stepping it up? Hegseth? Hegseth? Bueller? Bueller?

There's something more to this. That's the fog of war. I can't figure it out but if I were the decision maker in Kyiv, I would drone bomb every petrol station in the Moscow area, every refinery in all of Russia and every ammunitions warehouse and manufacturing plant. Let the smoke rise over Russia for every Russian to see as their economy collapses.
