🚨BREAKING: Iranian Ballistic Missiles Impact US Targets In Bahrain
The strike came with no prior warning.
US air defences appear to be severely depleted across the Gulf, the ceasefire did not help.

(71,891 posts)Maybe so, but haven't we filled the airspace over Iran with AWACS planes there precisely to be on the lookout for exactly such things?

I know one of them was destroyed about two months ago, but it could not have been the only one over there.
Where is our money going?

(3,838 posts)Legitimate sources are indicating the US has used up around 1/3rd of our Tomahawk cruise missiles, half of our Patriot, THAAD and PrSM missiles and near depletion of the smaller missile systems fired from naval ships. It'll take 3-10 years to get that back capacity. In the meanwhile, we're down enough that it won't be possible to counter a Taiwan invasion or properly address an attack from N. Korea or Russia.
Adversaries are waching, rubbing their hands together, doing math, and waiting for the right time. With conventional munitions this depleted, the Orange Asshole ® and his advisers may chose nukes out of desperation.

(361 posts)Are we at peace or war today? Which day of the week is it. Is Iran or greatest friend or our worst enemy? Is Donny winning the Nobel Peace Prize today by ending his 189th war, or is he showing the world that they have to respect us today? And does Jake Tapper really think that this is less of a threat to he World than Joe stuttering a bit? I can't keep track.
