Lawmakers call for use of 25th amendment after president brazenly threatens to commit war crimes in Iran

As Donald Trump unleashes curse-filled threats against Iran, Democrats are raising alarm over his mental stability and calling for his removal from office – while Republicans remain conspicuously silent.

Democrats are escalating their rebukes as the 79-year-old president delivers rambling, incoherent speeches, hurls puerile insults at US allies and brazenly threatens to commit war crimes. He used an Easter Sunday social media post to warn Iran to “Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell”.

The president followed up by insisting that a “whole civilization will die tonight” if Tehran does not meet his latest deadline to agree to a deal that includes reopening the strait of Hormuz.

By Tuesday afternoon, more than 20 Democratic members of Congress had called for Trump’s cabinet to invoke the 25th amendment to the constitution to remove a president who is deemed unfit for office.

1. "Republicans silent"... They are only NOT silent when it's Democrats, liberals, Muslims, immigrants, minorities, etc.

Silent on Uvalde, silent on Epstein, silent on Trump abuses, silent on war crimes.

We need to reject the current political system, and by that I mean, we need to question the very legitimacy of the Republican Party. At this point, it's the only way we can say we are not complicit in war crimes.

3. This is what I've been saying for some years...

The Repug party has to be declared a terrorist organization, given to treason and murder. Those who think they fall under that umbrella will need to pick another party in which to belong. AND we need to be VERY careful after that to ensure those who are joining the Democratic party are not "plants" out to simply destroy us, period. Let the current "repugs" spread themselves throughout the party environment writ large.

I know we've had several parties in the past that never made it to the present day. How did they go away, finally? I'm thinking of the Whigs, the No Nothing Party, etc. Did they all just finally combine to become repugs?
