(25,789 posts)She wasn't a dancer in a club, she was the desk clerk at the college student union. Drop-dead GORGEOUS. I was getting ready to leave the union building at closing time, she stopped me and asked me to walk her back to her dorm after she closed up. After lengthy painful, toturous arm-twisting ( ), I agreed. This was a big part of our routine for the rest of my senior year. Probably would have married her if life didn't have other plans for both of us, but 45 years later, we are still good friends, even after her two bad marriages, and talk frequently by phone; really, the only thing between us is almost 900 miles.
"Sometimes even now, when I'm feeling lonely and beat, I drift back in time, and find my feet down on Main Street.".......

(72,420 posts)I'm not much of a Seger fan, but that's a pretty darned good tune.
Some of them I'd prefer to never hear again.
But, if NM came on the radio, I wouldn't change the station.

Horizontal bop.
Get out of Denver.
Sunspot baby.
Katmandu.
And of course the live covers like:
Let it rock.
All of these were r&b based.
Everything after "Night Moves" October 1976 was more commercial.
