You know how when you used to go to shows, and one snippet of music used to grab you and stay with you forever?
That happened to me during the He's Gone on 5/9/79, the final inprov portion.
In the below archive link, it's song number 13, from the 9:50 an the 12:40 timestamps. I was pretty close to the stage, and this pretty little jam appeared out of nowhere. The stage lights were pink, and Garcia and Weir and Lesh just stared at each other and smiled while playing this thing. It felt like pure love. Like they were talking to each other through their instruments, and it was never played like this again. 46 years later, and I still hum this little piece of music. Sounds crazy to pretty much everyone, but I know you'll understand what I mean.
