No, not the basketball player.
My outfit often works with a security agency based near Amsterdam. It is run by ex-Mossad Israelis, but they employ their people on basis of competence, not ethnicity. One of my favorites is an Algerian named Kareem.
Kareem is tall and muscular, looks like what you might expect of an Al Qaeda warrior who plays linebacker for the Green Bay Packers in his spare time. He speaks fluent French, Dutch, English, and classical Arabic, as well as local dialects from his home area. He is soft-spoken, well educated (speaks English with an Oxford accent), and knows at least two forms of martial arts. He had something to do at our Dutch office yesterday, and was heading into Utrecht just when I was desperate to find a ride back into town so I could make my train back to Germany. Kareem offered me the life-saving ride.
Perfectly dialed in to the current situations in the USA and Iran, we spent the 18 or so minutes of the trip going over situations and options for both countries. If hes working for the security agency run by the ex-Mossad guys, he is already, by definition, an exceptional person, but he is also one of my favorites of that outfit. He shatters just about every stereotype in the book, but that does not make him an exceptional person in that organization, but typical, instead. The ultimate why cant they all be like he is? guy. Getting to spend time with Kareem is just another one of my jobs perks, and I already enjoy a couple of perks as it is. Plusif anyone should try to attack me when he is around, pity the attacker

And also how lucky that he could run interference if you needed it!
