Unsettled toll charge; my turn

I’m in Virginia. The text message came from meg20051201@bq.senyapack.com

To pay up, I have been directed to go to
https://virginia.gov-baoyh.live/pay

Does it ever look convincing. This is not the first one of these I’ve received.

I clicked on the ”Online Services” link to see where it would take me. It went to
https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/online-services
which is at the real DMV site.

The real DMV doesn’t seem to have a place where I can report the scam. All I can do is report it as junk and delete it.

Ahhh, good suggestion but I have found that if you put in a 'fake address', you'll find lots of others that have been SWBTATTReg 18 hrs ago #6

that claimed I had an unpaid traffic ticket and directing me to go to some site or other or my driving privileges would be suspended as of yesterday. I had my husband (professional geek) check it out and it came back as the scam I thought it was. All I could do was delete and report junk.

It seems all these official sites should gave scam reporting features.

targeted for scamming too, and they will list it online too, w/ a warning too, e.g., BEWARE, etc. The internet is well aware of these scams and people jot things done. Just do a search on the fake address and you will get the scammed address listed by others who have received the scam too.

Haven't had one since. The fact that I haven't been on an Illinois toll road since 2021 was helpful.
