The DU Lounge

On the 29th, a former band drummer I know is having his every 3 year party.
He owned a heating/cooling contractor business, so he's got a huge polebarn on his one acre lot.
Guys I've known since the 70s are coming. Probably 25 of us. Drummers, bass players guitar players (and me, who can play whatever is needed).
Anyway, I have been playing acoustic guitar, almost exclusively, for 2 years. I figured I should shake off some electric rust by playing to simple backing tracks.
In the last 5 days, I've taken 3 of my electrics (out of 7) off the wall to play.
All three were still in tune! All 6 strings, in tune. After 2 years!
I was astonished.

I absolutely love my Tele, but she can be ornery when it comes to staying in tune. (Not often, but she can be.)

(73,230 posts)I've been using Fender Super 250s (009-042) since at least the late 90s.
There are 4 unopened sets in my "guitar stuff" box, so I guess that's what on these, too.
