Anyone remember the DU character Bob Boudelang?

What’s your opinion on practicing a little necromancy and resurrecting the angry - albeit wrongheaded - spirit of Bob Boudelang? It would be even more challenging now to produce good satire, but you can bet ol’ Bob has gotten his ox gored at least a couple of times recently. Truthfully, I’m not certain who penned the original Bob tales, and I’d feel like a graffiti artist (a good one, however) painting over someone else’s work. If anyone knows the full story of Bob’s creator and any future plans for the old gent, please share with us.

It’d be hard to achieve that level of irony now.

It would have to be updated, for sure, and it’s not hard to imagine Bob in some leopards-ate-my-face situations which an increasing number within MAGAtry are now experiencing.

Although Trump has better teeth!

Still, Trump is an ignorant asshole.

I can't work up any positivity for his resurrection, or for a like character.

I'm in full "fuck them!" mode, and as hard as it was then to find much to laugh about politically, it's a whole lot harder now.

I'm all for humor, but... fuck them! That's my answer.

Satire still is a potent weapon, however, it’s probably better to direct it toward the actual subjects of ridicule than going through fictional characters.

I chose Groucho as an avatar because I love to laugh and enjoy life, but there's a war against decency being waged against us. I still smile. I even snort or chuckle sometimes.

But it doesn't come as easily, so I feel I'm right for me right now.
